How does it work?
During the melting process of coating powders in the oven, flow and leveling agent additive migrates to the surface and reduces the surface tension gradient which subsequently causes an increase in the wavelength at the coating surface, resulting in a smoother paint surface

In which group of powder coating formulations it is suggested to add flow and leveling agent?
As one of the main additives in the powder coating formulation, Flow and Leveling agent is used in all powder coating with a smooth surface
the group is also suggested in very little amount for some texture powder coatings as well

What is the best amount?
It is suggested to add it by 0.7%-1.5% based on formulation weight.
For texture powder coatings, it is suggested to reduce the amount of additive to the minimum possible amount

How should Flow and Leveling agent add into the formulation?
For smooth surface powder coatings, add Flow and Leveling agent to the formulation in the premix step . It should mix with other raw materials before extrusion.
For Texture finish powder coatings, Flow and Leveling agent might add to the formulation in Premix or you can add it as a dry blend additive to micronized coating powder
